Zoe awakens from a nightmare about the Breathers, underscoring the constant fear in the shelter. The family reinforces the rules—stay calm, never leave the shelter, monitor rations—to cope with the claustrophobic environment. Tension rises as they adjust to their new, fragile routine.

Soldiers wearing night vision gear close in, revealing they are Breathers in military gear rather than monsters. The situation turns into a claustrophobic standoff.
