Set in 1870s Bulgaria, this film portrays the realities preceding the war that would liberate the country from Ottoman rule. The story follows Gicho, a young man involved with a revolutionary group led by the historical figure Dimitar Obshti. Following a train robbery, Gicho is entrusted with a crucial mission: delivering a vital letter to Vasil Levski, a renowned freedom fighter and national hero known as The Apostle of Freedom. This ambitious project is based on Milen Ruskov’s novel and directed by Victor Bojinov.
