Norwegian propaganda‑drama follows 16‑year‑old Eva and 17‑year‑old Arne, both from respectable families, who attend a lecture where a professor claims cannabis is safer than alcohol. Tempted, they and their friends experiment with the drug, plunging into a disastrous spiral. Though harshly reviewed, the film became one of Norway’s top‑grossing cinema releases of 1969.
