A Hungarian‑Jewish teen flees Nazi‑occupied Hungary for Palestine, where the British recruit and train her as a commando; she then parachutes into Yugoslavia with a unit to set up escape routes for Allied pilots along the Hungarian‑Yugoslav border. Returning to save Jews, she is captured, tortured and executed by Gestapo and Hungarian police, hailed as Israel’s “Joan of Arc.”
