As teenagers, Tuah and his four friends defeat pirates at sea, earning early fame as local heroes. They later study under Tok Guru Adi at Mount Ledang, training to become formidable warriors. During these years, Tuah meets Melor, a native girl who shares his affection, and they vow that she will seek him in Malacca if fate brings them together.
