Dilip, a law student from Bikaner, secures a room in an old British-era pub in Rajpur and soon meets Rananjay Singh, known as Ransa. Ransa is fiery and openly opposes his father's aristocratic rule, contrasting with Dilip's mild demeanor. Their first encounter sets the tone for a volatile alliance that drives much of the plot.

Dilip is ragged by a gang led by Jadwal at the university hostel. They strip him and lock him in a room with Anuja, a young lecturer, before releasing them naked. The humiliation acts as a catalyst for the ensuing conflict and the bond between Dilip and Ransa.

Dukey Banna steps in after the ragging incident, offering protection to Dilip and Ransa and starting to mobilize support for the Rajputana movement. He uses his influence to shield them from Jadwal and to set up a power base among students. This alliance begins to reshape campus politics around the movement.

Encouraged by Dukey, Ransa agrees to contest the university General Secretary elections to harness Rajputana sentiment. His rising profile alarms Jadwal and his allies, who fear losing control.

Ransa is kidnapped by Karan, the brother of Kiran, who demands he withdraw from the race. When Ransa refuses, Karan kills him, eliminating a major rival and a symbol of reform.

Dukey forces Dilip to take Ransa's place in the election and manipulates the electoral panel to tilt the vote in Dilip's favor. Dilip wins and becomes the university general secretary, though the victory is built on manipulation.

Kiran seduces Dilip and convinces him to let her become the cultural secretary. At the same time Dukey starts siphoning university funds to prop up the Rajputana movement, creating a corrupt financial engine behind the scenes.

Dukey's gang kills Jadwal and dumps his body as a warning to anyone who challenges their control. He flaunts the body to Dilip to cement fear and maintain authority over the campus.

Anuja, who was thrown out of the hostel, moves in with Dilip as his personal life grows more complex. Meanwhile Kiran begins a secret relationship with Dukey, creating a tangled web of loyalty and desire that sways political loyalties.

Kiran becomes pregnant but has an abortion, ending her relationship with Dilip. Frustrated, Dilip resigns from his post, allowing Kiran to step into the position that she seeks.

Dilip learns that Dukey used Kiran to manipulate him and the movement. He shoots Dukey in a moment of rage, and Dukey, dying, reveals the truth about Kiran's manipulations.

Karan unveils his master plan to head the Rajputana movement after eliminating Dukey. Bhati is killed by Karan's gang, and Dilip, unable to accept what he has learned, searches for Kiran but is mortally wounded by Karan's men. He dies at home, and Karan ascends as the leader while Kiran mourns as a loyal partisan.
