Apoorvaragam follows three youngsters Roopesh, Nancy, and Tommy as they drift through a world of love, ambition, and the consequences of choices made in the name of desire. Roopesh has always carried a quiet, unspoken love for Nancy, yet the courage to confess remains elusive. For Nancy, love is something that seems to defy easy explanation, a feeling she keeps close to her heart. Tommy steps into the role of a daredevil Cupid, the one who nudges events forward and nudges the two toward each other, even if his methods are a little manipulative.

Behind their backs, Tommy initiates a dangerous game by calling Nancy’s father, L. Raja, to allege that his daughter is dating someone from the college. The father is initially trusting, not taking the accusation seriously, but as doubt grows, he begins to fear the worst and contemplates drastic steps. In a bid to secure control over the situation, he gestures toward a financial solution, offering a substantial sum to sever the relationship.

The couple ends up registering their marriage, a step that further complicates the emotional landscape. Tommy makes another call, asserting that Nancy has now married, a claim the father weighs against his own observations and suspicions. The father openly discusses the possibility of a payoff, and Roopesh finds himself pressed into a position where he asks for a hefty sum—Rs. 1 crore—to walk away from the relationship, a demand that the father accepts only after careful consideration.

Roopesh, Tommy, and their third companion, Narayanan, are later seen plotting a similar scheme with another rich man’s daughter, a risky echo of their earlier plan. While this trap is being set, Roopesh reaches out to Nancy to tell her the truth. In a surprising turn, he steals the ransom money from their hideout and returns it to her father in a bid to restore what he hopes might be a future with Nancy.

But Nancy reveals that her love had been a ruse from the start, a calculated ploy to reclaim the money and then end the relationship on her own terms. She has already become engaged to the man her father chose, a twist that underscores the power dynamics at play. Tommy and Narayanan pursue them to this new place, leading to a tense confrontation. In the ensuing struggle, Roopesh seizes the gun and shoots both Tommy and Narayanan, a drastic act aimed at preserving what little remains of his relationship with Nancy and his own dignity.

Roopesh then phones Nancy’s father to arrange for her pick-up, signaling an intended separation from the chaos. As she prepares to leave, Roopesh bids her farewell and, in a final act of despair, shoots himself. The film closes on Nancy’s anguished cry, a heartbreak that underscores the tragedy at the center of a love triangle driven by desire, deceit, and the heavy weight of choices made in the name of love.
