The credits roll, and a brief post‑credits scene shows Indy’s head poking out of the car window as Vera drives toward her own home. The faint, familiar whistle that once summoned Indy from Todd’s side drifts through the air. Whether Vera has learned the signal or the lingering shadow has adopted it remains ambiguous, leaving the audience with a lingering question about the curse’s true nature and whether it will follow them to a new setting.

In short, the film ends with Indy staying in the mortal realm, refusing to follow Todd’s spirit, while the mysterious black entity claims the man. The dog’s survival and Vera’s quiet companionship hint at both closure for the characters and the possibility that the unseen menace may yet persist.
