During a brief but vibrant period in the 1960s, Cambodian cinema flourished, producing over 400 films before being tragically halted by the Khmer Rouge regime. Now, fewer than 30 of these films survive, offering a powerful look at the era's impact on the country's artists and film industry. Golden Slumbers explores this lost cinematic heritage through the recollections of survivors, bringing to life the myths and legends of a bygone time.
