Shivasagar, a wheelchair-bound multi-millionaire, watches his son Vijay drift through life with a carefree, reckless streak. To snap him back to reality, Shivasagar hatches a plan: send Vijay to the village of Bhamapura to lend a hand to the needy and learn the value of hard work. Reluctant at first, Vijay is swayed when a local pizza restaurant owner spins a tall tale, convincing him and his friends that Bhamapura is nothing but a giant brothel. They arrive ready to flirt and party, completely unaware that the village is revered as sacred and that the restaurateur’s deceit is designed to teach them a hard, humbling lesson.
Divya, along with her classmates, also arrives in the village as part of a social activity course aimed at improving local health and hygiene. The plan is simple but cruel: Vijay and his friends are welcomed into the homes of poorer families, where Divya and the other girls are staying as part of the village program. The young men begin to chase the girls, mistaking them for the village’s supposed prostitutes. When Divya uncovers the ruse, she and the other girls decide to turn the tables and teach them a lesson of their own, transforming the encounter from a prank into a test of character.
What follows is a tangled web of attraction and misjudgment. Vijay and his friends are courted by Divya and the other girls, and the group is led to separate rooms where the girls administer a serum that makes them itch and recoil in discomfort. The prank backfires in a moment of rashness: Vijay confesses his growing feelings for Divya and offers to marry her in the village temple the very next day, pledging to protect her honor. Divya, however, does not appear, and a bus carrying the girls’ college name reveals the truth of the deception. The men return home to mixed reactions—some chagrin, some pride—as Vijay’s father absorbs the news that his son may be capable of real affection after all.
Back at home, the news of Vijay’s feelings softens Shivasagar’s stern exterior, and with his influence, Vijay and Divya become engaged. But the relationship soon spirals into a darker turn. One night, a drunken Vijay goes to Divya’s home; her family, wary of his behavior, keeps him at bay. A confrontation erupts, spilling into Divya’s cousin’s house where Vijay’s presence becomes abusive. The tension escalates, and in a night of chaos, Vijay attempts to kill Shivasagar but is checked by Ko Thanda, a moment that ends with a violent stabbing, casting doubt on everyone’s loyalties.
Troubled by these events, Shivasagar arranges for Vijay to see a therapist, hoping to salvage the family’s name and future. Into this fissured family steps Ajay, Vijay’s doppelgänger, who has already spiraled into trouble—taking money from a bank and wandering into Divya’s life in a way that deepens the danger and distrust. Ajay’s anger toward Shivasagar stems from a past where his mother, who suffers from mental illness, was left to fend for herself, and the resemblance between Ajay and Vijay fuels a deadly identity crisis.
Divya, determined to discern the truth, manages to slip into Vijay’s hospital room and believes his explanation of innocence. Before long, Ajay interrupts with his own claim to Vijay’s life, stealing the identity and going on to threaten Shivasagar. The father, shocked to see his supposed son, tries to intervene, and Vijay arrives at the scene demanding answers. The truth behind the family’s fractured past comes to light in a devastating confession from Shivasagar himself.
Shivasagar reveals his secret history: he once danced professionally, but the performance and its fallout led to a cascade of heartbreak. His mother’s death, the humiliation of an arranged marriage gone wrong, and a brutal act he committed against the woman who bore him a child—an act he kept hidden—explain the origin of Vijay’s birth and the deep, complicated ties that bind the family. He admits that Ajay was born from a separate circumstance, a fact he claims he was unaware of, and that the two boys share a fateful, twin-like connection.
Ajay, realizing the gravity of his choices, escapes and threatens Vijay and Divya’s nuptials. A confrontation is commanded by a grandmother who finally clarifies the truth: Ajay is also Shivasagar’s son, and Vijay’s twin, the product of a past that twisted fate for both families. Ajay’s mother, overwhelmed by the revelations, sinks into a state of numbness until a dramatic gesture from Vijay—dressed as Ajay and feeding her—begins to bridge the gap between hurt and healing.
The climax crescendos with a collision of forgiveness and accountability. Ajay, once misled, accepts Shivasagar’s apology and is placed under arrest, while the real pain and responsibility fall on Shivasagar to reconcile with the consequences of his past actions. The film closes on a note of fragile reconciliation, with Vijay affirming that Shivasagar stands as the godfather of the family, a symbol of resilience and the possibility of redemption for a clan torn by deception, jealousy, and the weight of history.
