Two house‑breakers, Ah Chi and Fatty, steal a diamond already earmarked by a gang. After a series of mishaps the stone ends up in the shoe of TV star Cheung Man Ju. The brothers chase her across Hong Kong, cornering her at a charity ball where she must leave before midnight, losing a shoe in the scramble.
