Ursula Stanhope embarks on an adventurous journey through the stunning landscapes of Burundi. Accompanying her are her guide Kwame and a trio of porters, who add to the excitement and richness of the experience.

During her expedition, Ursula has a reunion with her soon-to-be husband, Lyle van de Groot. However, Lyle's arrival is overshadowed by the presence of poachers, Max and Thor, who have their own secretive plans involving Ursula.

As Ursula and her group venture deeper into the jungle, Kwame shares captivating tales about the mythical 'White Ape.' Intrigued by the legend, Ursula insists on seeking out this elusive creature, driven by curiosity.

Lyle joins Ursula in her quest to find the White Ape, but their journey takes a perilous turn when they encounter a lion. In a panic, Lyle injures himself trying to escape, rendering him unconscious, while Ursula is left vulnerable.

Fortunately, George, the King of the Jungle, comes to Ursula's aid, heroically rescuing her from danger. He brings her to his treehouse, where she begins to recover from the traumatic event.

While recuperating in the jungle, Ursula discovers a deep connection with George, the gentle giant, and his quirky animal companions. Her feelings begin to complicate her desire to return to her life with Lyle.

Lyle, accompanied by Max and Thor, confronts Ursula at George's treehouse. Ursula coldly receives them, especially after witnessing Lyle's cowardice during their earlier encounter with the lion.

As Lyle and his accomplices attempt to seize Shep for his ivory, chaos ensues when Ape intervenes. The startling defensive antics of the talking gorilla fend off Lyle's plans, but Max and Thor plot to tranquilize Ape.

In the midst of the commotion, Lyle accidentally shoots George, thinking an innocent object is a weapon. While George is captured, Max and Thor get deported, but their ambitions to capture Ape remain intact.

Ursula takes George to San Francisco for medical treatment after the incident. While she fulfills her responsibilities in the city, George explores urban life, showcasing his charming and adventurous spirit.

Ursula’s mother, Beatrice, learns about her daughter's jungle adventures and insists that the wedding to Lyle must proceed. Tensions rise, especially when Beatrice warns George to keep away from their plans.

Back in Burundi, Max and Thor succeed in capturing Ape using tranquilizers. In a desperate bid for help, Ape sends Tookie to find George, initiating his urgent return to the jungle.

George returns to confront Max and Thor and, with the support of Ursula and his animal friends, battles to free Ape. Together, they face numerous obstacles, showcasing George's newfound resilience.

Just as George believes he has secured their safety, Lyle escapes imprisonment and reappears as a legally ordained minister. He attempts to take Ursula to the river for a wedding ceremony, but rapids threaten them both.

In a heroic rescue, George saves Ursula from the treacherous waters as Lyle gets swept away. As dawn breaks, George and Ursula celebrate their love surrounded by the vibrant jungle, solidifying their bond with a passionate kiss.

In the years that follow, George and Ursula establish their home in a treehouse and welcome their son, George Jr. They introduce their child to the wonders of the jungle, creating a legacy of love and adventure.

In a charming mid-credits scene, Ape has transformed into a star performer in Las Vegas, entertaining audiences as 'Ape-tastic.' Max and Thor, now his enthusiastic sidekicks, add a twist of humor to this unexpected venture.
