Teja and his gang arrive at the magistrates' court in North Madras for a routine hearing. Teja imitates animals to mock the proceedings, and Jeeva mocks him in return. In a swift, brutal exchange, Teja's gang kills Jeeva right inside the court premises.

Incensed by Jeeva's death, Gemini vows to avenge his fallen ally. He tracks down Pandian, the man suspected of orchestrating the murder, while Isaac, belonging to Gemini's gang, executes the actual killing to seal the vendetta.

Pandian's mother Annamma locates the murderers and approaches Gemini, joining the gang by becoming the cook. She bides her time in the kitchen, waiting for a chance to poison them as revenge for her son's death.

Gemini meets Manisha Natwarlal, a free-spirited North Indian college girl, and begins attending her college's evening class to get closer to her. She falls in love with him, unaware of his criminal identity.

Two businessmen approach Gemini with a proposal to evict traders to make way for a shopping complex. Gemini refuses, since the market is under his control. The businessmen hire Teja to carry out the plan, and Kai, as an inside man, helps Teja foil the scheme, further enraging Teja.

Singaperumal, an astute police officer, is promoted to Director General of Police with a mandate to end crime. He arrests Gemini and Teja, but the proceedings are kept off the record due to political influence. He confines them in a private cell so they can beat each other to death.

Recognizing the opportunity to outsmart Singaperumal, Gemini persuades Teja to plead guilty and seek a chance to reform. Their ruse works, and both are released from custody.

Manisha learns Gemini's true identity after his arrest at college and grows to resent him. To win her back, Gemini reforms his ways and tries to lead his gang toward a better path, and his gang eventually accepts the change.

Annamma reveals her true identity and forgives the gang for the crime she suffered. Her revelation signals a broader chance at redemption for Gemini and his associates.

Singaperumal uses his influence to help Gemini get back into college, enabling him to pursue Manisha openly and restore their relationship.

Teja returns to illegal activities and presses Gemini for help, while Gemini informs Singaperumal of Teja's actions. Teja is later caught smuggling narcotics and serves a prison term.

A few months later, Singaperumal is transferred and a new, corrupt officer becomes DGP. The new DGP releases Teja and tries to recruit Gemini to repay past losses, but Gemini refuses.

Teja, with Isaac's help, schemes to kill Kai, Gemini's ally. The murder escalates the feud, while Gemini lashes out and defeats Teja, leading to a tense moment when the two swap clothes in a bid for control.

The new DGP arrives and shoots Gemini dead, believing him to be Teja. He later discovers that Teja was the one in Gemini's clothes, revealing a deadly case of mistaken identity.

Despite the chaos, Gemini's arc culminates in a lasting relationship with Manisha, suggesting a hopeful ending beyond the lawlessness.
