Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

Tommy Jarvis is released from the local hospital and returns to Crystal Lake, which has been renamed Forest Green. He remains haunted by flashbacks of Jason Voorhees as he tries to confront his fears alongside his friend Hawes. This return marks the start of a renewed effort to put the killer behind them.

Tommy and Hawes exhume Jason's grave during a raging thunderstorm. As Tommy's flashback intensifies, lightning strikes the fence post and the coffin, reviving Jason as a revenant with supernatural strength. The undead killer is back to terrorize Crystal Lake.

Jason kills Hawes and, after regaining his power, dons the hockey mask Tommy had brought. The mask solidifies his menacing new appearance as he resumes his hunt. The town's nightmare is renewed with Jason's wrath.

Tommy travels to Sheriff Mike Garris to warn about Jason's return, but the sheriff treats him as delusional. He is handcuffed and removed from the town to prevent further outbreaks of his 'delusions'. The danger Jason poses remains unaddressed.

On the road toward Camp Forest Green, Jason kills camp counselors Darren and Lizbeth. The brutal attack demonstrates that Jason is actively hunting again. Their deaths remove two witnesses before anyone believes Tommy's warnings.

The following morning, Sheriff Garris's daughter Megan arrives at the station with friends Sissy, Cort, and Paula. They report Darren and Lizbeth missing and reluctantly consider Tommy's warnings about Jason. The town starts treating Jason as an urban legend, though Megan feels a pull toward Tommy.

In the woods, Jason interrupts a corporate paintball game, crushing Burt into a tree and decapitating three other players, then dismembers Roy. He also seizes a machete from the players. The brutal scene confirms Jason's return is brutal and unstoppable.

Children arrive at Camp Forest Green while counselors wonder what has happened to Darren and Lizbeth. Jason's presence casts a shadow over the camp as the adults scramble to keep the kids safe. The community's fear deepens as the threat moves closer to the camp.

As Tommy is being moved out of town, he sprints toward Jason's grave, only to find Martin the caretaker hiding the grave. Martin's cover-up aims to prevent responsibility for the grave robbery, while Hawes's body is buried in Jason's place. This secrecy signals that danger remains.

Jason murders Martin and a nearby couple who witness the killings. Cort and Nikki are stalked; Nikki is dragged into the RV's bathroom and killed, and Cort is slain when the RV flips. The murders escalate tensions and cast suspicion on Tommy.

Tommy contacts Megan to help lure Jason back to Crystal Lake, and she agrees to assist. Sheriff Garris, meanwhile, locks Tommy up, convinced his delusions explain Cort and Nikki's deaths. The plan to trap Jason begins to take shape despite opposition.

Megan helps break Tommy out of jail and they race toward Camp Forest Green. Jason's danger escalates as the lawmen pursue them, culminating in a direct confrontation with Garris. The rescue marks the turning point toward the final showdown.

Jason attacks Camp Forest Green, killing Sissy and Paula but sparing the children. Sheriff Garris confronts the intruders and is killed by Jason while protecting Megan. The battle sets the stage for the climactic chase to the lake.

Tommy lures Jason to the lake and traps him with a boulder chained around his neck, sending him underwater. Jason destroys the boat and drags Tommy beneath the surface before Megan can rescue him with CPR. The final image shows Jason alive under Crystal Lake, powerless to escape.
