Stephan works in a supermarket where the FIFO shelving system dictates that the freshest products are placed behind the older ones, and items nearing their sell-by dates must be discarded. While taking products to the basement bins, he encounters those who attempt to salvage them, challenging the rules of the system. This experience forces him to confront his own past and the circumstances that led him to his current job.
