Peter, an engineer, starts experiencing haunting nightmares that depict his intense encounters with an unknown alien adversary. These visions deeply affect his mental state and create tension in his family life with his wife, Alice.

Later, Alice celebrates her promotion at an architecture firm, where Peter becomes increasingly fixated on the strange anomalies plaguing his mind. Guests mingle around him as he scans the sky for alien activity.

During the celebration, Peter spots ominous lights in the sky, signaling the start of a devastating alien invasion. Spaceships begin attacking the city, directly impacting Peter and Alice's apartment building.

In the chaos of the invasion, Peter and Alice realize their daughter, Hannah, is missing. Their neighbor Ray discovers his daughter, Megan, is also unaccounted for, leading both men to rush off to find the girls amidst the devastation.

After a tense search, Peter and Ray manage to rescue Hannah and Megan from an elevator just as alien ground troops infiltrate their building. The situation becomes dire as they witness horrific acts against others.

As they take shelter, Peter and Alice barricade themselves while the children hide in fear. They struggle to hold back an intruding soldier, while Lucy, overwhelmed by chaos, tries to reach her beloved stuffed monkey.

Tragedy hits when a spaceship attacks during their journey, resulting in the deaths of Ray, Samantha, and Megan. Peter's family narrowly escapes but suffers emotional turmoil from the loss.

Upon arriving at the factory designed to withstand attacks, Peter learns that the soldier they confronted is human. In a fierce battle for survival, Peter must save Alice, realizing she is an android and requires his lifeforce to survive.
