In anger management, Alex meets Stella and Nikki. Stella has rammed her car into her husband's store, and Nikki has cut her husband's clothes after a failed attempt to do his laundry. The three women form a fraught, supportive bond that shapes the following events.

Alex runs into Burke at a store and they begin dating. She lies to her anger management class that her new boyfriend is a postman, keeping the real relationship hidden. The tension between her personal and professional lives grows.

During St. Patrick's Day celebrations at the bar, a drunkard gropes some women, prompting Nikki to set his shirt on fire. Alex argues with Nikki, and Hutt records their confrontation. The recordings deepen the conflict surrounding their circle.

Alex learns from TV news that Danielle's husband is dead, linking his death to the broader pattern of crimes. She visits Burke at the police station and sees a map of various crimes in town. She recognizes the name Steven Cantor from an anger management session, tying the threads together.

Stella and Nikki confront Alex about dating a detective rather than a postman. Alex uses her tax skills to expose that homes under Hutt's audit lacked bugs. Hutt confronts Alex with the evidence and demands she come clean.

One year later, Alex graduates from anger management. She confesses everything to Hutt on camera, but secretly poisons him with arsenic, killing him. Nikki and Stella help clean up all the evidence tying them to the murder.

Alex marries Burke. ABC Pest ceases operations and a new company, ABC Catering, is formed. Stella begins dating the Police Chief, and Nikki continues helping other women with their problems.
