The investigation narrows when Aravindan pieces together that every victim was a twin who had once shared a classroom called Twin Birds. The school’s former teacher, Shanthi, tells him the tragic story of two brothers: Benjamin, a prodigious chess player, and his neuro‑divergent sibling Francis, who died after a cruel prank left him in darkness. Benjamin’s grief turns into a meticulous revenge, targeting only those twins who were present in the lab that night and could have saved Francis.

As the detectives close in, the narrative flips: the man they have been hunting – the masked killer who has been pulling strings from the shadows – is revealed to be Aravindan himself. The clues line up when Ranjithkumar recognizes the distinctive lighter Aravindan used to drive him to the hospital; that lighter is the very token Benjamin leaves at his brother’s grave each year. In a frantic showdown at Manohar’s house, Aravindan’s supposed allies turn out to be pawns in his own game, and the final shoot‑out exposes his dual identity as both detective and avenger.

Benjamin/Aravindan’s plan is not to escape justice but to stage one last, perfect “eleventh” move. He engineers a fake body for the promised victim — Dheeren — while the real Dheeren remains imprisoned. On the day the officers storm the prison, Benjamin slips a lighter onto the scene, ensuring his capture, then murders Dheeren in the water and immediately swallows a handful of pills, drowning himself in the same pool. The film ends with a haunting fantasy sequence of the two brothers reunited as children, underscoring the film’s central idea that the bond of twins makes them each the other’s protector and punishment. In the final tableau, Benjamin’s death is portrayed not merely as the end of a killing spree but as the closing move of a chess match where every pawn represented a life taken in the name of vengeance.
