Set in Meiji‑era Japan, a remote village of witches and wizards is brutally eradicated. Decades later, an archaeologist unearths a mummy from that cursed settlement; the corpse awakens, kills and then possesses the scholar’s assistant. The malevolent spirit now hunts for Misa, who is shielded by Saiga, the lone survivor of the original massacre.
