Péter Sóvári, a celebrated actor with a reputation for womanising, and Lajos Borsai, a director whose own playboy ways mask a desperate financial situation, both target Mexican soap‑opera magnate Dulcinea de la Rosa—she could become Borsai’s wife and fund his screenplay. Their schemes intersect when each man becomes infatuated with the talented newcomer Ibolya.
