When the actress he loves falls for a frivolous count, an actor masquerades as the count’s intended bride—a wealthy Spanish heiress the count has never met—to thwart the scheme. The deception sparks a series of comic misunderstandings as the count tries to dupe the woman while the actor juggles his own feelings and the actress’s attention.
