Eddie: The Sleepwalking Cannibal

Lars Olafssen, portrayed by the profoundly talented Thure Lindhardt, is a renowned painter whose glory days seem long behind him. Once celebrated as a leading figure in the art community, Lars is haunted by a traumatic incident from over a decade ago, leaving his artistic abilities and reputation in a significant decline. As he finds himself at an impasse with his upcoming painting project, his art dealer, Stephen McHattie, who plays Ronny, suggests that he take on a teaching position at an art school in the quaint Canadian town of Koda Lake. This move is thought to reignite the spark of creativity within him.

Upon his arrival in Koda Lake, Lars’s path crosses with that of Lesley, portrayed by Georgina Reilly. Initially, Lesley remains indifferent and unimpressed by Lars’ celebrity status. However, as they spend more time together, she finds herself captivated by his charm and artistic spirit, leading to a blossoming connection between the two. Meanwhile, Lars encounters Eddie, played by the enigmatic Dylan Smith. Eddie presents himself as an intriguing mystery, having a complex background tied to the art school; his late aunt was an essential benefactor to the institution and her contributions would continue through Eddie, should he receive the care he needs.

Despite his initial hesitance, Lars decides to open his home to Eddie, not realizing the depths of the challenges ahead. Eddie struggles with a peculiar sleepwalking disorder, which transforms him from a timid, inner-focused art student to a voracious, unstoppable force with a penchant for flesh. As Lars navigates his new role while grappling with his own artistic demons, the tension between creativity and chaos unfolds, painting a mesmerizing portrait of human fragility and the unexpected complexities of connection. Will Lars be able to reclaim his identity as an artist, or will the shadows of his past and the dark secrets lurking within Eddie consume him?
