Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

Tommy Jarvis is released from the hospital and returns to Crystal Lake, now renamed Forest Green, to face his trauma. He travels back with the resolve to confront Jason Voorhees and end the nightmare that has haunted him for years.

During a violent thunderstorm, Tommy and Allen Hawes visit Jason's grave to attempt a cremation of the killer. Tommy experiences a brutal flashback of his last encounter as they dig up the corpse. Two lightning strikes hit Jason's grave post, reviving him as a revenant with superhuman strength.

Jason murders Hawes and, using his new strength, dons the hockey mask that Tommy has brought. The mask becomes a symbol of Jason's return and the threat he now poses. The encounter marks the start of his unleashed rage.

Tommy goes to the sheriff's office to warn the authorities about Jason's return. Sheriff Mike Garris believes he is hallucinating and has Tommy arrested, treating the warnings as madness.

On the road to Camp Forest Green, Jason ambushes and murders Darren and Lizbeth as they search for the camp. The two campers vanish, increasing the fear in the community.

The following morning, Megan Garris arrives at the station with friends Sissy, Cort, and Paula to report Darren and Lizbeth missing. Tommy's warnings create tension, and Megan is unsure whether to believe him, despite a growing attraction to him.

Jason crashes a corporate paintball game and murders several players with brutal efficiency, decapitating some and dismembering others. He also seizes a machete from the players, demonstrating his ruthless reach.

Children arrive at Camp Forest Green and the teen counselors do their best to run the camp while hoping the missing Darren and Lizbeth are found. The threat outside the camp becomes increasingly real as Jason stalks the area.

Garris plans to transfer Tommy out of his jurisdiction, but Tommy heads toward Jason's grave only to find caretaker Martin has covered it up. Hawes' body has been buried in Jason's place to avoid responsibility for the grave’s desecration.

That night, Jason goes on a killing spree, murdering Martin and a nearby couple who witness the violence. The danger around Crystal Lake intensifies as fear spreads through the community.

Cort meets Nikki and Jason stalks them in their RV, luring Nikki outside into danger. Nikki is killed in the RV's bathroom, and Cort is slain when Jason flips the vehicle, leaving no witnesses.

Garris finds Nikki's and Cort's bodies and promptly implicates Tommy, arguing that his supposed delusions have driven his actions. Megan tries to defend Tommy, but the sheriff's suspicions linger and complicate the investigation.

Tommy contacts Megan to help lure Jason back to Crystal Lake, and Megan helps break Tommy out of jail so they can confront the killer. They race toward Camp Forest Green to stop Jason before he reaches more victims.

Garris and two deputies head to the camp to arrest Tommy’s supposed accomplice, but Jason attacks them, forcing Garris to admit that Tommy may be right after all. Garris is killed while trying to protect Megan.

Tommy and Megan lure Jason to the lake and trap him using a boulder tied to a chain, dragging him underwater. The boat is destroyed, Jason drags Tommy to the bottom, and Megan revives Tommy with CPR, declaring that Jason is finally home. The final shot shows Jason underwater, still alive but powerless to free himself.
