Dracula A.D. 1972

Dracula and Lawrence Van Helsing clash atop a runaway coach in Hyde Park. They struggle as the carriage careens through the night. Van Helsing drives the wheel into Dracula’s chest, staking him, and the Count reels as the fight ends. Van Helsing collapses shortly after, dying from his own wounds.

A follower collects Dracula's remains after his defeat. A few days later he is buried near Van Helsing's grave at St Bartolph's Church. The Count's resting place is prepared for a possible resurrection. The Van Helsing family mourns the loss of their defender.

A hundred years pass as Jessica Van Helsing, descendant of the occult expert, and Johnny Alucard mingle with a group of young hippies. Johnny Alucard resembles Dracula's old disciple, hinting at the Count's lingering influence. They drift toward the abandoned St Bartolph's, drawn to the chilling history nearby.

Alucard lures Jessica and her friends to a Black Mass inside the deconsecrated church. A bloody ritual unfolds, and Laura Bellows is killed in the chaos. Laura's body is later found drained of blood, triggering the Metropolitan Police murder investigation.

Inspector Murray suspects an occult element behind Laura's death and questions Lorrimer Van Helsing. Lorrimer is shocked by the details and realizes Alucard is Dracula’s disciple. He understands that Dracula may have returned to threaten Jessica and her friends.

Alucard brings Gaynor Keating to St. Bartolph's, where she is killed by Dracula. Alucard proclaims himself a vampire and begins turning others, including Jessica's boyfriend Bob at a Chelsea cafe. The fear of a rising vampire threat intensifies.

Lorrimer, aided by a friend of Jessica, tracks Alucard to his flat and engages in a brutal battle. In his desperation, Alucard accidentally dies when running water in the bathroom shower harms him. The fight reveals the Count's lingering influence and the danger posed to Jessica.

Lorrimer returns to St Bartolph's and finds Bob's dead body, slain by sunlight before his resting place. Jessica lies in a trance, under Dracula's spell, as the Count formulates his revenge through her. Murray's investigation edges closer to a supernatural explanation.

Lorrimer digs a trap beneath the graveyard, creating a pit of stakes for Dracula. He waits for nightfall, hoping the Count will return. The plan hinges on severing Dracula's control over Jessica and forcing a final confrontation.

Dracula returns above the pit to claim Jessica and confront Lorrimer. A struggle ensues as Jessica resists Dracula's spell, aided by holy water that burns his hands. Lorrimer pushes Dracula into the pit and seals his fate with the stakes.

Dracula sinks fully into the stake pit and crumbles to ashes. The spell over Jessica breaks, and she embraces her grandfather, ending the Count's reign of vengeance. The cemetery returns to silence as final peace settles over the Van Helsing line.

With Dracula defeated, Jessica and her grandfather share a moment of reunion. The title Rest in Final Peace appears, signaling a lasting respite from supernatural danger. The Van Helsing family lineage holds its ground as the story closes on a somber note of closure.
