Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur

Suneo reveals a fossil claw to everyone except Nobita. Nobita is furious and vows to prove there is a living dinosaur, while Doraemon refuses to help. The moment sets Nobita on a reckless course of digging on a hillside.

Nobita digs on the hillside as punishment from a landlord. While digging, he uncovers an egg-shaped stone and accidentally triggers a time-warp that restores it to life. He warms it, and the egg hatches into a Futabasaurus named Piisuke.

Rather than revealing Piisuke immediately, Nobita lets him grow and makes a deal with the others to keep him hidden. They stash Piisuke in a nearby lake to avoid detection. This secrecy weighs on Nobita as the creature grows.

A mysterious assailant from the 24th century appears, eager to purchase Piisuke from Nobita. Doraemon and Nobita worry about the danger of keeping Piisuke hidden. The encounter signals that Piisuke will soon be forced into the larger conflict.

Nobita and Doraemon decide to move Piisuke to safety by sending him back in time to the Late Cretaceous. The trip is interrupted by the same pursuer, and the group barely escapes. They reunite with their friends after the chaotic transport.

Back in the present, Nobita's friends doubt his tale. Gian and Suneo confront him, and even Shizuka initially doubts. To prove Piisuke exists, Nobita takes them to his house and shows the creature on a TV monitor, revealing Piisuke was actually carried to North America during the attack.

The group realizes Piisuke is on the North American shore after the time machine is attacked. They set out to reach that distant coast before the machine fails completely. The machine is overloaded and destroyed upon arrival.

On the shore, they locate Piisuke and finally accept Nobita's claim. Doraemon tries to fix the time machine but grimly reveals it is broken and must be returned to Nobita's desk in Japan for a future homeward journey.

That night, a massive Tyrannosaurus emerges from the forest. Doraemon uses his Momotaro Dango to calm it and guide it back into the wild. The group prepares to cross the ancient land bridge of Beringia.

They travel the ancient land bridge of Beringia, meeting a parade of dinosaurs who help or hinder their passage, including Brontosaurus and Ornithomimus. They fend off a pack of Pteranodons that threaten their bamboo-powered raft.

A group of dinosaur hunters from the 24th century led by Dollmanstein appears and offers to return them home in exchange for Piisuke. The kids refuse, and Nobita's group crafts a trap using mud statues to mislead the hunters and escape by raft.

The chase intensifies, splitting the friends. Gian, Suneo, and Shizuka are captured by the hunters while Nobita, Doraemon, and Piisuke fall over a waterfall. A gadget from Doraemon saves the trio, but Piisuke is left behind for safety as they continue downstream.

The group locates the hunters' camp, where Gian, Suneo, and Shizuka are used as bait for a roaming Tyrannosaurus. The Time Patrol arrives and intervenes, sealing the hunters' fate and rescuing them. Piisuke is saved and returned to his homeland.

Piisuke is safely returned to the Late Cretaceous of Japan, and Nobita and friends bid him farewell before returning to the present time. They face the grim reality that home is possible only with the time machine's repair.
