Cindy Sherman

One of Cindy Sherman’s earliest Super‑8 experiments, the 1975 film commonly referred to as “Doll Clothes” (officially titled “Untitled”), has not been screened since its creation. The short piece humorously merges a visual reference to Marcel Duchamp’s *Nude Descending a Staircase* with animated paper‑doll figures, foreshadowing the questions of identity, disguise and performance that would become hallmarks of Sherman’s later photographic work.
