A solitary nightwatchman at a department store becomes obsessed with a mannequin, fixing his gaze on her night after night. He eventually steals the figure and brings it home, hoping to keep it forever. When the lifeless doll inexplicably awakens, his lonely fantasy turns unsettlingly real.
