Den Brother

Alex is a talented but self-centered high school hockey player who chases attention at Lemon Oaks High School. After a suspension for showboating, he volunteers to prove he can be responsible by doing chores and babysitting his little sister Emily. He becomes the substitute Den Mother, adopting the alias 'Mrs. Zamboni' and learning to lead with responsibility, ultimately balancing his hockey dreams with family and community duties.

Matisse is the popular senior Alex admires and pursues. She forgives him for his missteps, and her openness suggests she values genuine leadership and teamwork. Her response helps draw Alex further into the Den Mother role and the troop's friendship.

Goose is Alex's loyal friend and a strong teammate who sometimes guides Alex toward responsible leadership. He later signals trust in Alex's leadership by declining the captaincy offer, choosing to see Alex succeed as a leader.

Emily is Alex's younger sister and Bumble Bee troop member who helps push him toward maturity. She benefits from his growing reliability and the troop's renewed sense of purpose.

Dina is the strict Den Mother who tries to keep Alex out and challenge the Den Mother's role. Her skepticism frames the obstacle that Alex must overcome to prove his commitment to the troop.

Allie is the neighbor who formerly led a Bumble Bee troop and reveals that Alex's late mother was part of her group. She becomes a guiding figure who helps restore forgiveness to the troop and supports Allie taking on the Den Mother role.

Jasper is the widowed father who pushes Alex to grow up and take responsibility. He ultimately supports Alex's balance between hockey and family and helps secure a future path for Goose.
