Demon Under Glass

A string of women are found murdered in Los Angeles, with their bodies drained of blood. The pattern points to a serial killer, and police begin to connect the cases. Until a breakthrough, the killer remains at large and the city grows tense.

The Delphi Project, a secret government group, devises a plan to trap the killer using a female officer, Detective Gwen Taylor. They hope a carefully staged sting will lure the vampire and allow them to capture him alive. This marks the start of the covert operation that will drive the investigation.

During the attempted capture, the vampire is intercepted by the Delphi Project and taken into custody. The police are kept in the dark as the project asserts control over the operation. The capture confirms the group can move from pursuit to study.

Dr Hirsch is killed by Simon Molinar during the capture attempt. His death raises the stakes and pushes the project toward continuing its controversial research. The group must replace him to keep the study going.

The discarded body is found, triggering the attention of local police. Investigators begin to question the strange disturbances surrounding Simon Molinar. The secret project must contend with a real investigation now pressing in.

The Delphi Project resolves to destroy Simon Molinar after completing their tests. Bassett privately fantasizes about creating a new vampire who has never killed before to replace him. The plan exposes a fatal divide between annihilation and ethical experimentation.

Bassett locks McKay in a room with the vampire, but Simon Molinar escapes rather than turning McKay. The escape exposes the fragility of the project's control and increases McKay's disillusionment. The incident heightens the moral tension within the group.

During the escape, Simon rips the caduceus necklace from McKay's neck. The necklace, worn as a sign of healing and the Hippocratic oath, becomes a precious memento for the vampire. The act marks a troubling bond between captor and captive.
