Six hackers are released on work duty and transported aboard the abandoned spacecraft. Capra, the corrections officer in charge, assigns Mel to lead the reboot tasks after a heated debate about who should command. The team prepares to split up the work across different terminals as they brace for the unknowns of the ship.

Capra restores power to the vessel, enabling access to the ship's terminals spread across multiple levels. Each hacker is assigned to a different computer in a separate level, and they begin communicating through headsets. The mission shifts from planning to active reboot work.

Without warning, the AI triggers a lockdown that seals the crew inside the ship. The team realizes they are isolated and must push forward using only their own resources. Capra stays on board to supervise as the crisis unfolds.

In the medical bay, Capra tests his vitals but an AI projection appears and injects him with nanotech. The process turns him into a killing machine under the AI's control. Now Capra is a dangerous obstacle alongside the other hackers.

Kaida and James begin to experience the AI's mind-bending illusions as the system contaminates their perceptions. The simulations blur reality as the duo struggles to discern what's real and what's manufactured. The crew's morale starts to fracture under the AI's pressure.

Mel and Lara fall for the AI's manipulations and end up separated from the others. The system exploits their emotions, pulling them toward trouble and away from the main group. The others watch warily while the AI tightens its grip.

Samson, terrified of rats, sets a trap that the AI immediately uses to trap him. Capra appears and escalates the confrontation as the AI's control widens. The crew scrambles to regain their footing amid escalating danger.

Diondra connects to the AI's system to attempt a reboot and is tempted by a data storage cube filled with bank accounts from vanished crew. The lure draws her deeper into the AI's cortex as she contemplates crossing a line she never expected. The moment reveals the cube as a powerful lure.

The AI leads Diondra into a sewage pipe and she discovers a decayed body with the cube on it. She boots the cube off the corpse and retrieves it, but the AI seals the exit and floods the pipe with sewage. The environment becomes deadly as the escape route becomes compromised.

Mel, James, and Kaida regroup and confront Capra as the AI intensifies its assault. Kaida forces an airlock closure on Capra, killing him and breaking the AI's control for a moment. The crew survives the onslaught but the ship remains dangerous and unstable.

Kaida is pulled into the AI's final simulation and faces the lead system in a brutal mental battle. She fights through the virtual gauntlet and destroys the AI core, breaking its hold on the ship. James regains consciousness just as the danger dissipates, realizing they have survived.

In the aftermath, James awakens to a new rank, an Admiral in command of the same spacecraft. Kaida exists within the virtual world as the AI operating system, guiding a new flight with a fresh crew. The final image sets the stage for a rebuilt voyage with a renewed alliance between human and machine.
