In 2008, we find ourselves following the journey of a recent Canadian college graduate, Jay Bahadur. Living in the basement of his childhood home, he grapples with unfulfilled aspirations of becoming a successful writer, as he spends his day-to-day life tangled in marketing research for a mundane napkin manufacturer.
