Bertal, a despotic theater director, is murdered before a Macbeth performance with his companion Aurélia Nobli and her lover Ludovic Arn. Police arrive at the rehearsal and begin investigating. Suspicion first falls on Sigurd, an old actor who once threatened Bertal. As the case unfolds, eerie parallels appear between the play’s characters and actors.
