In a bold move against the oppressive Shang dynasty, Lord Su Hu of Jizhou gathers his forces to challenge the ruling powers. His actions spark a significant conflict that sets the stage for brutal consequences.

The rebellion led by Su Hu faces overwhelming retaliation from Prince Yin Shou and his powerful army. The rebels suffer a catastrophic defeat, culminating in the gruesome death of Su Hu at the hands of Shou's skillful swordsmen.

Amidst the chaos of defeat, Su Hu's daughter, Su Daji, initially consumed by thoughts of revenge, finds herself captured by the victorious Shang forces as they march back to the capital. Her journey takes a dark turn as she confronts her fate.

During a celebratory feast, tragedy strikes when King Di Yi falls victim to a violent outburst initiated by his own son, Crown Prince Qi. In a shocking accident, the prince inadvertently kills his father, sowing discord in the royal family.

With King Di Yi dead, Prince Yin Shou seizes the moment to claim the throne. The violent ascension signals a grim future for the Shang dynasty, already plagued by dark omens following the regicide.

In an attempt to appease the heavens and rid the dynasty of the curse following the royal murder, Shou vows to undergo a self-immolation ritual. This act signifies his desperation in the face of impending doom.

Meanwhile, the Immortals of Kunlun are deliberating on who should be entrusted with the powerful Investiture Scroll. This scroll holds the potential to restore balance in a kingdom spiraling into chaos.

Wise monk Jiang Ziya volunteers to take the Investiture Scroll, realizing that fellow candidate Shao's oppressive nature makes him unfit for the task. Together with disciples Nezha and Yang Jian, they embark on a perilous journey to restore balance.

On his way to the capital Zhaoge, Ji Chang, the Duke of the West, encounters an infant demon, Lei Zhenzi. This unexpected meeting spins a web of fate that intertwines with the kingdom's future.

The four dukes from different regions plot against Shou's rule, fueled by rumors of his alleged illegitimacy. Their secret meeting is abruptly halted by royal guards, leading to dire consequences for all involved.

Amid the chaos, Chong Yingbiao, son of the Duke of the North, reluctantly executes his own father while E Shun, defying Shou's demands, faces tragic repercussions for his bravery. Despair leads the Duke of the East to take his own life.

Ji Fa pleads for a lesser punishment for Duke Chang, arguing that a public confession would be a more honorable fate than execution. However, Shou dismisses his pleas, leading to Chang’s eventual downfall and tarnishing his legacy.

As Yin Jiao delves deeper into palace schemes, a malevolent fox spirit takes control of Su Daji. Shou, now enamored with Daji, becomes embroiled in a dangerous power struggle that culminates in betrayal.

High Priest Bi Gan makes a sacrificial move, offering his heart to rid Daji of the fox spirit. This heroic act comes too late as Shou discovers the manipulative demon's presence after it has already wreaked havoc.

As complete turmoil ensues, Ji Fa leads a rebellion against Shou, faking Duke Chang's death for his escape. Amid fierce battles and deceptions, the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance, culminating in intense confrontations.
