CJ7

Chow Ti is a construction worker facing tough life challenges while living in a partially demolished home with his nine-year-old son, Dicky. His main goal is to save enough money to ensure Dicky can continue his education at a private school.

At school, Dicky experiences bullying from his peers, particularly from a boy named Johnny. This bullying is compounded by the ridicule he faces from teachers due to his worn-out clothing, making his school life unbearable.

During a visit to a department store, Dicky desperately asks Ti to buy him a popular robotic toy called CJ1. Unable to fulfill his son's wish, Ti loses his temper and strikes Dicky in a moment of frustration, drawing the attention of bystanders.

Later that evening, Ti visits a junkyard to salvage items for their home. There, he finds a mysterious green orb left by a spaceship, which he decides to take home as a special gift for Dicky.

That night, the green orb transforms into an adorable alien creature resembling a dog, which Dicky names CJ7. This new friend quickly establishes a bond with Dicky, who is thrilled by his presence.

Dicky discovers that CJ7 possesses remarkable restorative powers when it magically revives a rotten apple. This sparks Dicky's imagination, where he envisions CJ7 as a brilliant inventor capable of helping him excel in school.

Despite Dicky's excitement, CJ7 causes a series of embarrassing incidents at school, leading to further humiliation and ridicule from his classmates. This sends Dicky into a spiral of frustration and disappointment.

Frustrated with CJ7's mishaps, Dicky throws the creature away in a trash bin. Realizing his mistake, he races back to retrieve CJ7, only to find it empty, but he is relieved to find CJ7 waiting for him at home, leading to a heartwarming reunion.

Ti loses his job after a heated argument with his boss, who falsely accuses Dicky of cheating on a test. Upon learning the truth, Ti's frustration leads him to take CJ7 away from Dicky, demanding he focus on his grades.

The next day, Ti's boss apologizes and offers him his job back with a bonus, providing hope for the family. However, Ti suffers a terrible fall at work and ends up hospitalized, thrusting Dicky into despair.

As Dicky learns of his father's accident from Ms. Yuen, he is overwhelmed by grief. In a desperate moment, CJ7 channels its life force to heal Ti, showcasing its deep bond with Dicky.

Dicky wakes up to find Ti alive and resting beside him, but heartbreakingly discovers that CJ7 has turned into a lifeless doll. He wears the doll as a pendant, symbolizing their strong bond and the sacrifices made.

In a surprising climax, Dicky witnesses a UFO land on a nearby bridge. From the UFO emerge numerous alien dogs resembling CJ7 in different colors and designs, who joyfully approach him, signifying a new beginning.
