In a polluted future most humans live underground. Pleasure comes from narcotic brain‑plug chips. Guard Lori steals a case and flees Los Angeles with Danner, a pleasure‑android, to ship them to New York. They are pursued by Plughead, a criminal whose scalp is lined with sockets that let him test and use the chips.
