C.A.T. Squad: Python Wolf

Bud Raines organizes the purchase of plutonium from smugglers, setting the mission in motion. His actions draw attention from both the smugglers and the CAT Squad as they commence their investigation.

CAT Squad traces the smuggling network back to South African extremists and begins coordinating a wider operation to stop the illicit supply.

Special Agent Nikki Pappas is sent to contact Paul Kiley, a key figure in the smuggling. Over several weeks she gains his trust and becomes his lover, enabling closer access to the operation.

John Sommers and the air crew undertake an aerial photography mission as part of the operation. They are targeted by a fighter plane, causing their crash in the mountains of South Africa.

The surviving crew parachute to safety, but the radio operator is shot in the woods by extremists. The rest are imprisoned in a labor camp by Georg Bekker, who is determined to obtain the plutonium.

Bud, Nikki, and Richard discover that John's disappearance is classified under the secret Python Wolf program. Richard breaks into Highsmith's office to obtain shredded documents, which Nikki later scans into a computer and pieces back together.

The recovered documents reveal that Lt. Colonel Vincent Trask is calling the shots and that there were no survivors of the crash.

Mr. Curtin informs Paul Kiley that Nikki is an undercover agent. Paul responds by stabbing Nikki to death, eliminating a key informant.

Richard and Bud follow Paul to a subway train; Paul is murdered by one of Curtin's men. They pursue the killer, and Richard is shot before Bud captures him.

The killer confesses that he was hired by Curtin. Bud and Richard hear that Trask attempted to cover up the failed mission by destroying the labor camp.

Richard is released from the hospital and confronts Jim about Trask's plan, tricking him into admitting that Trask planned to leave that night.

Bud and Richard steal Trask's plane and fly to the labor camp, only to find most prisoners have already been killed. Bud finds John alive in a barn.

Georg Bekker attempts to steal plutonium from a nearby reactor. Richard, posing as a worker named Mr. Kurtz, activates a meltdown alarm; Bekker shoots at him, and Richard releases hot steam into Bekker's face, causing him to be electrocuted.
