Ten years after leaving Israel and achieving success in America, Benny Shpitz returns home, confronting his past, friends, dreams and the memory of his idol Daniel Wax, the “beautiful Israeli.” He discovers his former companions are melancholic, dissatisfied with marriage, and conceal deep emptiness. The film also notes how Israeli society has shifted since 1967, no longer matching its original vision.
