While excavating a meteor fragment containing Curium‑82—a possible cure for the common cold—the Dal brothers find a luminous, diamond‑like stone. Rom then receives a ring from an alien, bearing blueprints for an unknown device. They build the machine, and when Rom activates it with the stone, they are thrust into a time‑travel adventure.
