David Rosen and his wife Becky have lived in Coney Island for years, but Strut is turning the neighborhood into his turf. He extorts merchants for “protection” and uses violence. When David refuses to pay for his restaurant, Strut retaliates: the diner is fire‑bombed, neighbors attacked and the synagogue desecrated, leaving the community in fear.
