Bloody Murder

Teenage counselors arrive at Camp Placid Pines and meet boss Patrick who introduces the rest of the staff. Groundskeeper Henry warns that something dangerous lurks in the woods, but Patrick dismisses him. Around the camp, the legend of Trevor Moorehouse is shared as the counselors learn they will play a game called Bloody Murder to pass the time.

That night around the campfire, the group tells the Trevor Moorehouse story and starts the Bloody Murder game. Jason and Dean dress as Trevor to prank Brad, who is hurt in the stunt. Julie scolds Jason for the prank, and he promises to apologize the next day.

Later that night Jason and Whitney secretly sleep together, while Dean watches and is shocked that Jason is dating Julie. Jason is then confronted by an unidentified figure, signaling danger closing in. The tension starts to ratchet up as the night grows darker.

The next morning Julie worries about Jason's whereabouts and learns he has taken a few days off. The uncertainty casts a shadow over the camp as rumors spread. Julie begins to fear there may be more to the disappearances than a simple prank.

That following night, Whitney is killed in the kitchen by a killer wearing a hockey mask and a boiler suit. The attacker remains unseen, leaving the counselors trembling with fear. The camp wide search starts as the perimeter tightens around the staff.

The next day the counselors inform the local sheriff that Whitney and Jason have gone missing. Patrick and Tobe tell the sheriff they suspect Dean and he is taken in for questioning. The mystery deepens as more questions arise about who can be trusted.

At the archery range, Brad is killed, escalating the body count. Dean is released from custody as the investigation shifts focus. The violence intensifies and panic begins to take hold among the remaining counselors.

Julie is attacked by the killer in the woods, while soon after Dean is killed by having his throat slit. The camp's leadership begins to crumble as fear and paranoia spread. The survivors realize the danger might be closer than they think.

Julie finds a photo of her dad at the camp with Nelson Hammond and learns Nelson was involved in the Bloody Murder incident. She discovers that Nelson later returned to the camp and killed a counselor seeking revenge. The revelation ties the past tragedy to the present carnage.

Years after the original Bloody Murder incident, Nelson Hammond returns to Camp Placid Pines and murders one of the counselors involved. The legacy of vengeance casts a long shadow over the remaining staff. The camp's dark history resurfaces with brutal clarity.

That night Julie is attacked again and realizes the attacker is Jason. She locks him in the freezer, Jason tries to explain but Julie has him arrested. The desperate crumbles of trust continue as Jason becomes a prisoner.

Doug is murdered before Julie's father arrives and walks with Drew to the lake. Julie discovers Drew's father was Bill Anderson, the counselor Nelson killed, and she suspects Drew is the killer. The tension escalates as Julie contemplates Drew's possible guilt and motive tied to her father's death.

Julie confronts Drew about her suspicions, but the real killer arrives and attacks. Drew knocks out the assailant, and Julie flees. Patrick reveals that he is the killer, actually Nelson Hammond, who killed the real Patrick, and he chases Julie through the woods toward the main camp. Drew fires, shooting Patrick in the arm, and he is arrested.

At the police station, the Sheriff says he understood in a backward way why Nelson killed Whitney, Brad, and Dean but cannot explain why he killed Doug; he suggests Trevor Moorehouse might be responsible. The ambiguous motive leaves some questions unresolved as the law closes in. The survivors begin to grapple with the camp's traumatic legacy.

Jason, walking home, is suddenly confronted by another hockey-masked assailant wielding a chainsaw. He screams in terror as the screen cuts to black, leaving the final threat unresolved. The film closes on a note of ongoing danger and unanswered questions.
