Blood on the Moon

Garry is pulled from his drifting life when Tate Riling calls him to help. He rides toward the Indian reservation where a growing conflict simmers. The summons pulls him into a feud that will test his loyalty and nerve.

Garry enters Lufton's world and is asked to deliver a note to Lufton's family. He meets Lufton’s daughter Amy, and later Carol becomes entangled in the plan. The note carries a route that will later be misread, sowing distrust.

Tate Riling and Indian agent Jake Pindalest hatch a scheme to force Lufton off his herd. Pindalest rejects Lufton's cattle as unfit to feed the Indians and orders the herd moved within a week. Riling mobilizes the homesteaders to block the move, disguising his true motive.

Lufton refuses to bend to the plan and successfully moves his herd off the reservation before the deadline. He stays coordinated and unbroken, buying precious time. Yet the larger battle between sides is only intensifying.

Carol, who is in love with Riling, informs him of Lufton's plans. Lufton and Amy misread Garry as having read the note, deepening their mutual distrust. Riling uses the betrayal to sharpen his advantage.

Riling's scheme triggers a stampede that drives cattle back onto the reservation, resulting in the death of a young man. Garry tells Kris Barden the brutal news, and Barden receives it with cold scorn. The personal toll hardens the resolve of those who remain.

Garry leaves town for Texas and stops at a remote commissary miles outside of town. He fights a brutal brawl with Riling's gunmen, almost prevailing. Kris Barden shoots one attacker, and a sober order to ride on is issued to Garry.

Garry reaches the Lufton ranch and is cared for by Amy. As he recovers, their bond deepens into trust and affection. Lufton remains wary, but a personal alliance forms amid the tensions.

To buy time, Garry tricks Pindalest into sending a government messenger to extend the deadline. With the delay secured, Garry seizes Pindalest as a prisoner, severing a crucial part of the conspirators’ leverage. Riling and his gang press forward toward the final confrontation.

Riling, his top henchmen, and Pindalest close in on Garry at Kris Barden's homestead, and a fierce gunfight erupts. Garry urges Amy to leave for safety, but she refuses to abandon him. The night battle pushes the participants to their limits.

Garry slips out at night, aided by Kris and Amy, and launches a bold strike. He knocks Pindalest out and slays two of Riling's gunmen, turning the tide of the confrontation. Riling is critically wounded as the skirmish continues.

With the dawn, Lufton and his men arrive, and Pindalest is taken into custody. Garry and Amy acknowledge a future together, and the community begins to heal after the brutal night. The conflict slowly gives way to a tense peace.

Amy tells her father that Garry will become a new man in their household, signaling a lasting partnership. Lufton accepts the change with quiet celebration, glad for a future that includes Garry. They head toward Barden's jug to toast the resolution of the crisis.
