Jack Crews is released after serving time for vehicular manslaughter. He has lost his commercial driver's license and struggles to restart his life, eventually taking a repair-job in New Jersey. Facing foreclosure, he accepts a lucrative but risky assignment hauling toilets from Atlanta to New Jersey.

Cutler offers the toilet-haul job to rescue Jack's family and avoid foreclosure, and Jack weighs the desperation against the risk. He agrees to take the load, knowing it will take him from Atlanta to New Jersey. The decision sets the road trip in motion.

Red initially provides a brand-new truck, but Jack chooses an older Peterbilt 379 to blend in and avoid drawing attention. He is joined by Earl, while Sonny and Wes follow in Sonny’s Camaro to provide policy protection. The convoy heads toward New Jersey.

On the road, Red and his crew attempt to hijack the load in retaliation for the failed negotiations with Cutler. Jack and his companions clash with the hijackers, escalating the danger of the voyage. The tense standoff foreshadows the storm of conflict ahead.

Jack discovers the shipment contains illegal guns worth over $3,000,000. He also learns that Wes has been informing Red of their location, complicating the plan and endangering everyone.

Sonny is revealed to be an FBI agent and is shot and killed by Red during another hijack attempt. The FBI has been tracking the team’s movements, raising the stakes for everyone involved.

Cutler takes Jack’s wife Melanie and daughter Tracy hostage to pressure Crews into finishing the job. The family’s safety is used as leverage while the convoy pressures forward toward the destination.

The FBI arrives at the dock where Cutler intends to exchange the guns for Jack’s family, triggering a brutal shootout. Jack subdues Cutler and hands him over to the FBI, securing his family’s safety.

The FBI restores Jack’s commercial driver’s license and ensures the Crews family won’t lose their home as gratitude for risking his life. They also retrieve Sonny’s body and thank Jack for bringing him back.

Earl is wounded in the shootout but urges Jack to look after his dog Tiny until he recovers. The moment highlights the bond built during their dangerous journey.

As the Crewses leave the docks for the impound lot, Red makes a last-ditch attempt on Jack's life. Red’s truck crashes, flips repeatedly, and is ultimately struck by a train and explodes.

Jack confirms his family's safety and continues driving toward the impound lot, signaling a cautious, if fragile, sense of normalcy after the ordeal. The movie closes with Jack facing an uncertain, but steadier future.
