Bhajarangi

Araka, a tribesman who makes money by producing drugs from Ayurvedic plants found in his territory, quietly reinforces his grip on the region while a priest named Sudheendra remains devoted to years of penance, guided by a wise sage.

One day, a drug seller buys Araka’s product, turning a profit that encourages more deals. The seller asks for a truckload to sell, but Araka’s assistant explains that there’s a shortage of labour to produce such quantities. The seller counters with a brutal plan: kidnap people from nearby villages to work in the drug trade. As the village festival unfolds, Araka’s men strike and seize the villagers. Anji tries to intervene, but his sister Alamelamma and his girlfriend Chinminiki are captured, and he is beaten and driven out by Araka.

The setback plunges Anji into despair, and Araka’s assistant is silenced when Araka, in a fit of rage, decapitates him. With the captives gone, Anji sinks into hopelessness and chooses suicide in Sudheendra’s cave. A supernatural force suddenly descends from the sky, and the sage, sensing the omen, looks on as Anji’s soul is drawn away.

It’s revealed that Araka once faced a formidable foe in Bhajarangi—a forest officer who is also Anji’s doppelgänger. Bhajarangi had toppled the tyrannical rule of Araka’s father Jagrava by killing him, a clash that led Araka to poison the village and betray Jagrava, ultimately joining Bhajarangi in a former struggle. Bhajarangi, Shivaraj Kumar, occupies Anji’s body to continue the battle.

Anji’s body is brought to Sudheendra, who uses his kundalini energy to summon Lord Vishnu. The deity allows Bhajarangi’s soul to possess Anji and directs him to finish Araka. The possessed Anji, embodying Bhajarangi, arrives at Araka’s den and defeats the tyrant. After the victory, Bhajarangi urges Sudheendra to spread awareness of Ayurveda, a mission Sudheendra accepts before dying. In the end, Anji is revived by Bhajarangi’s intervention and carries on Sudheendra’s lifelong mission.
