Kisha kills Shameek in self-defense after he breaks into her home looking for Tommy. Shameek interrogates and assaults Kisha, but she manages to turn the tables and get control of his gun, shooting him in the face. Earlier, Shameek is already established as a violent threat who killed Rico at a strip club, establishing his dangerous nature.

Tommy is coerced by a shadowy organization after being arrested in Atlanta over the shooting feud between Wise and LaKid. The organization has unclear motives and uses Tommy's arrest as leverage to pressure him into assassinating Rev. Saviour during a New Year's Eve sermon. Tommy wrestles with the mission, fearing for his safety, but ultimately decides not to go through with it.

The shadowy organization's involvement is hinted at when Tommy becomes entangled with them following his Atlanta arrest, suggesting they have reach and influence.

Mark dies during the police raid on their stash-house in Omaha. Big Head Rico informs the police of their heroin operation, leading to the raid that results in Mark's death and Knowledge's arrest. This event marks a major turning point that fractures the group and sets off the chain of betrayals and revenge killings that follow.

The gang's decision to transport heroin from Queens to Omaha and rapidly overrun the local drug business creates the conditions for this raid.

Tommy and Sincere meet at a Harlem diner on New Year's Eve because they want to compare notes after long being apart. Both have changed significantly: Tommy has been positively influenced by the Christian movement and Rev. Saviour, while Sincere has decided to change his life and focus on his family with plans to move to Africa. Their meeting shows how their paths have diverged but their friendship remains significant, with both men marveling at how far they've come.

The diner meeting represents the culmination of both characters' transformation arcs, bringing their individual journeys full circle.

After Tommy kills Sosa, Pelpa, a friend of Sosa, discovers that Ox ordered the hit on Sosa. Pelpa dispatches a hit squad to Ox's home to avenge Sosa. Ox manages to fight off most of the attackers but ultimately dies at the hands of a female assassin. This demonstrates the violent consequences of Tommy's favor to Ox and the deadly feuds within the Caribbean drug world.

Tionne survives Shameek's break-in by confronting him when he comes looking for Sincere. When Shameek and his henchmen break into her home hoping to find Sincere, they are unsuccessful. When Sincere finally comes home, Tionne tells him what happened and insists he get out of this dangerous life. Her resilience and the confrontation show the women standing up to the violence that surrounds the men in their lives.
