Fai hires a hit on a business rival, but the job goes wrong and he is implicated in the violence. Tung escorts the new commanding officer, Lt. Michael Cheung, to the disco owned by Fai to introduce him to their precinct and the triad world. There Cheung meets Yoyo, Fai's moll, and the two begin a genuine romance. The unlikely pairing tests loyalties as their feelings deepen.

Push-pin tries to push drugs through Yoyo's escort services, pressuring her to cooperate. Yoyo refuses, triggering tension that Cheung begins to address by inspecting Push-pin's establishments every night. The clash signals a widening triangle of power and revenge.
