Battle at Bloody Beach

Craig Benson lands in the Philippines to aid guerrillas and search for his wife Ruth. He is immediately drawn into danger when two Japanese soldiers ambush his contact, Sgt. Marty Sackler, and Benson kills them. This early confrontation marks the start of his mission to arm the resistance.

Benson and Sackler encounter a band of dubious guerrillas led by M'Keever who want to seize the weapons. Realizing M'Keever is unreliable, they choose to oppose him and are soon joined by authentic guerrillas led by Fontana and the American boxer Tiger Blair.

Fontana's guerrillas, aided by Tiger Blair, defeat M'Keever's band and kill the renegade leader. Benson sees that M'Keever's faction is a dead end and resolves to arm Fontana's guerrillas.

Benson agrees to arm Fontana's guerrilla band, recognizing their leadership and effectiveness. He prepares to supply weapons and training to strengthen the resistance.

Benson encounters a group of American civilians he plans to evacuate to Australia, including his wife Ruth who had believed him dead. Her return complicates the mission as loyalties shift and tension grows among the evacuees.

Benson sees Ruth in the company of Fontana and confronts Fontana about his involvement with his wife. The confrontation underscores the personal stakes behind the guerrilla fight.

Ruth tells Craig she won't leave with him and will continue to fight with the guerrillas. This decision seals the conflict between personal and political loyalties.

They reach Sackler's hut and are introduced to Fontana. Benson advises Fontana where the weapons are located and the plan for arming the guerrilla fighters.

The group awaits the submarine that will carry the evacuees to Australia. They prepare for departure while tensions build around the shifting loyalties and looming danger.

The Japanese board the shipwreck and the defenders arm themselves, driving the invaders back. The assault proves costly as Blanco and Mrs. Thompson are killed during the fighting.

The Japanese offer surrender terms that would shoot Benson while sparing others, but Fontana refuses the deal and holds Benson at gunpoint with Ruth's aid. The standoff tests loyalties and the resolve to resist.

Sackler attempts to swim to safety toward his shack but is killed in a shark attack. The brutal interruption marks the fragility of the squad's situation at sea.

The next day, Japanese mortars begin raining on the shipwreck as Craig is reported missing. Most of the evacuees hurry below deck to seek safety as the assault intensifies.

Benson returns with guerrilla support and launches a counterattack, overwhelming the Japanese. He says goodbye to Ruth, who insists on joining him, and they escape together in a raft toward the submarine.
