At the Gotham City library, Barbara Gordon assists Bruce Wayne in finding a book on butterflies to prove a point to a millionaire explorer. After they leave, Bruce and his ward Dick Grayson spot Killer Moth and three henchmen, prompting them to become Batman and Robin. While the heroes suit up, the criminals knock out the millionaire, lock Barbara in an alcove and plan to kidnap him. Batman and Robin intervene but are ensnared in Killer Moth’s silk cocoon, leaving their fate uncertain.
