Ayumi Nitta, a hospital cleaning staff member struggling with severe social anxiety, finds herself pregnant after a brief encounter with brilliant but troubled surgeon Wataru Makino. When she reveals her condition, Wataru dismisses it as an April Fools' joke, refusing to accept he might be the father. He attempts to move on with another woman, Reiko, but Ayumi unexpectedly appears, leading to a dramatic confrontation and revealing a complex situation.
