In a near-future Manila, two elderly men spar over their shared past as the city hums with neon lights and shifting fortunes. Samson Vic Sotto is Delilah’s son, and Delilah Gina Pareño is his mother, while Tot Jose Manalo acts as a house helper whose swagger and schemes fuel the entire tale. The story unfolds through a mix of sharp wit, playful pranks, and a misadventure that blurs the line between loyalty and trouble.
Tot is a master of matchmaking, constantly setting up Samson on blind dates that go spectacularly wrong—from awkward first meetings to outright fiascos. Samson grows increasingly frustrated as Tot’s schemes escalate, and the tension spills into action: Samson angrily chains Tot, forcing the younger man to act like a dog as a crude reminder of the control he wields. The trouble deepens when Delilah contracts a disease that Tot can help with because they share the same blood type, dragging Samson back into the helper’s audacious plans.
Tot takes the deception to a new level by using Samson’s face on chat and online dating sites, orchestrating incautious encounters behind Samson’s back. The rift widens, and the situation grows more volatile as Samson’s anger boils over yet again, leading to a second, harsher chaining and punishment that underscores the fragile line between playfully cruel tricks and real harm.
Bunny Manilyn Reynes, a familiar face on the dating site, participates in the web of deception by leveraging her Thai cousin Paula’s Paula Taylor picture to gain attention, with Paula’s consent. When the live “eyeball” date finally arrives, the real people are shocked to meet their proxies in the flesh, and jealousy flares as mismatched personas clash. The tension intensifies when Tot, recalling a curse Delilah whispered about, triggers a three-hour cycle in which their personalities swap, and there appears to be no cure to dispel the enchantment.
Under the curse, Tot occupies Samson’s body and indulges in debauchery, while Samson is trapped inside Tot’s frame, unable to take action beyond cursing his impersonator. A turning moment comes when Samson attempts to explain what happened, but Tot kisses Bunny using Samson’s body, leaving her heartbroken and walking away in sadness and anger. Tot is once again chained in a water tank, and his release hinges on a promise to tell the truth.
Truth-telling finally begins to untangle the mess: the characters acknowledge the curse and seek reconciliation, even as the peril of the spell threatens to flare again. Don Pedro reappears later in the narrative, returning the land title he bought from Delilah’s husband, a gesture that signals his love for Delilah outweighs his earlier resentment toward her husband.
Back in the present, Tot and Samson swap bodies once more, and the reversal ends with Samson chasing Tot through the room, wielding a crutch as a stark reminder that their fates remain tightly linked, their bond tempered by mischief, loyalty, and a shared, stubborn history. The story lingers on the consequences of their actions, the strange magic at the heart of their bond, and the way their lives are forever intertwined by a single, unresolved curse.
