Anthony Kaun Hai?

Set in Bangkok, the film opens with Master Madan, a feared underworld killer, seizing a debtor and abducting a man who claims to be Anthony Gonsalves, threatening to kill him if the debt isn’t paid within two hours. The captive insists he is not the real Gonsalves and begins to tell his own story to clarify.

According to the man, his real name is Champak Chaudhary, known as Champ, a con man who forged passports, IDs, and other documents. He fell in love with Roza, and the couple planned to marry, but Champ is arrested and sentenced to six months.

In jail, Champ meets Raghuvir Sharma, a life-term prisoner who is rumored to be deaf and dumb but actually speaks, and who once used magic tricks to steal diamonds from the Thai Queen. He buried the diamonds and offers half of them, worth 100 million THB, in exchange for Champ’s help to escape. Champ initially refuses, fearing trouble after release, but when he is freed and finds Roza married to another man and pregnant, he agrees and helps Raghuvir Sharma out with a forged release.

Meanwhile, the real Anthony Gonsalves is a journalist eager to uncover a major scandal. He records footage of Luck Sharma murdering a girl and sends a CD of the video to Luck to blackmail him for 10 million THB. Luck Sharma kills him in retaliation.

After Champ’s release, the two men obtain new identities from Champ’s associate Dr. Lashwani. The identity Champ chooses is Anthony Gonsalves, because Lashwani had been autopsying the real Gonsalves’s body. Champ and Raghuvir meet Jia. After assuming the Gonsalves identity, Luck’s men realize that Gonsalves might still be alive, and plan to kill Champ again. A gunfight ensues, Raghuvir dies, and Champ escapes.

Learning that her father owes Champ 50 million THB for getting him out of jail, Jia leads him to the place where the diamonds are buried, now inside a jailyard. Champ falls in love with Jia and learns the true story of the real Anthony Gonsalves, so he reports to the police and asks for witness protection. In jail, Champ digs out the diamonds and sends them one by one to Jia via a pigeon.

Champ hands the CD to Inspector Suraj Singh, leading to Lucky Sharma’s arrest. After hearing Champ’s full tale, Master Madan supports him, shoots Luck Sharma’s men who come to kill Champ, and even lends his Ferrari to help Champ reach the airport where Jia is boarding a flight. The movie ends with Champ spotting Jia at the airport, the two confess their love, and they reunite.
